Hey folks! It’s ya girl: Terri, TJ, T-Dawg, Tupperware… you get the picture. She is me. I’m the gal snapping behind the scenes, seeing beyond the veil, the one hiking mountains to seek views and wisdom. The one who loves dancing, singing, writing, and sharing stories and jokes around a campfire. 

A lot has changed in the 4 years since I first left Canada back in May of 2022. A persistent calling from my spirit team after a tumultuous time pushed me to take the leap and travel to the other side of the world. It was through this 2-year journey of self-actualization, shadow work and embodiment that I have been coming home to myself and am now ready to share my gifts with the world.

Who is she? She is a Canadian. An honorary Kiwi. A seeker. A backpacker. A healer. A Priestess. A goddess. An intuitive. An explorer. A hiker. A writer. A friend. A foe.

A hoe? Oh no.

I'm Terri Huxley, 
aka the Prairie Priestess.

It was very much a period of time where I felt like a snake shedding multiple layers of skin, energetic debris clinging. Scotland and Ireland showed me how to navigate hostels and carry less baggage both physically and mentally as I traversed wonderfully old cities full of character and views up into the Highlands.

From there I made my way south to Aotearoa New Zealand - my second home. It was here I made incredible friendships with soul connections from around the world, engaged with the country and its people in so many fun, fulfilling ways and again, shed so much that I could finally be free to be myself with safety within at the forefront. I developed stamina and courage through hiking, patience through driving on never-ending winding roads and a return home as a new woman full of love, acceptance, adaptability and insight.

After nearly 2 years here (originally intended to be 1) I made my way to New Caledonia for two weeks and then Australia for a month. More connections, solidified acceptance and reverence for the self ensued as I retraced more of my past lives and connected more deeply with my current one. Keep in mind I was testing ley lines via my own Astrocartography chart throughout the entirety of my travels to really see if this whole thing was worth the hype. Through this lived-experience I can honestly say it is accurate which gave me confidence I can share and engage others in this magik.
So all of this is to say that being back in Canada comes from a heart-centered space full of love and light as cliche as it sounds. I trust myself to share sound advice as I tap in to your energy. I'd love the opportunity to continue on that path.

It’s a mix of destiny and free will as every soul experiences throughout their time earthside. It has been anything from linear, but up, down, sideways and back again before looping upwards to the next level.

I started this business in 2016 as a newbie photographer - bright eyed and bushy tailed entering my second year at SAIT where I learned how to capture raw emotion and powerful perspective as a photojournalist. It started when I began following what lit me up and at that time it meant trespassing to capture rotting wood and steel or the most majestic landscapes alongside gigs that came up like graduations or family pictures. It grew and grew to the point I couldn’t sustain it any longer. I chose to invest in myself and travel. I chose the hidden part of the business through this act of rebellion by going full-tilt into the non-linear art of healing. It was so fucking hard. But on the other side I can say it all led me to sharing my spiritual gifts with others, honed over kilometres of land, a multitude of people with different life paths and infinite dimensions to get where I am. So I do this with an insatiable desire to succeed in sharing these gifts. There’s always been that invisible thread leading me to this highest good not only for myself but those who step forward.

My purpose is in communication, in healing, in bridging the gap between reality and the metaphysical through natural and uncovered talents. It speaks, pulsing with this intelligence of life you only need guidance to access. It’s a drag path etched in the surface of my marrow ready to glow bright with fulfillment. It’s an inner knowing as much as it is a business. So let me help. Let’s translate the stars and the earth together.

Landed with close family who reside in NZ.
Got a Dairy Farming milking job close by.
Bought a car.
Found a job at a hostel at a famous national park and equally famous hiking trail. Found Family meeting newfound love of hiking here.
3 months throughout was spent touring the South Island where I got a taste of the backpacking life and never looked back.

June 2022 - February 2024

Started the next phase of backpacking: New Caledonia + Australia.
2 weeks were spent in NC exploring with a close French friend living and working there.
Then 1 month exploring the east coast of Oz as well as the renowned Red Centre.

March 2024

Burnt out. 
Quit my job. 
Moved all of my stuff into a seacan.
Flew across the world to New Zealand - not without a trip to Scotland and Ireland first - on a working-holiday visa.

May 2022

Started at the regional newspaper servicing 27,500 homes each week with content I alongside one other coworker produced. I  covered many prestigious and unique events/stories I still feel the impact from. There were highs and lows but both have paved the road for me to do my best work from a space of integrity, wit and deep understanding.

2018

Dark night of the soul
Often mistaken as only 1 night, I experienced a month-long realization of who I am. It was a note that set this off from one of my co-workers while starting my journalism career at the local paper. She slipped me a stickie-note that simply said 'empath' who encouraged me to look it up. I did. And was I stunned to realize this was who I was -
 A word to finally understand my depth. This coincided with a very dark time where I contemplated suicide. But because of this discovery, I was able to digest this information, reframe my mind and move forward.

August 2017

I believe in order to get a feel for who your energetically in-tune friend is, you have to know their story. This is mine. I think that it is integral to my honing of skills, uncovering of truth and shadow work to the 'enth' degree that I can now share these findings with you. It has been through this ever-expanding journey that has allowed me to temper observation of mapping charts, meditation and energetic clearing, of self discovery and more to now become a teacher within this realm to help others on their path to prosperity and peace.

Landed back on home soil in Canada.

Mid-April 2024

Started as a stable photographer in Jasper, Alberta enjoying the mix of tourism and collection of horses amongst beautiful landscapes all around. Also picked up a job at a crystal shop!

May 2024

The Jasper Wildfire Complex came and ravaged a third of the town. I alongside a mind-boggling number of tourists and locals alike fled to BC . Thankfully, my home was not destroyed but sadly both of my former bosses' homes were.
Came home to southern Alberta three days later.

july 2024

After plenty of scarcity turned reflection, I decided to head east-ward. If I couldn't stay in the mountains, I'd like to be near the ocean. So Halifax, Nova Scotia beckoned. I first spent a week in Montreal to then train over to get a taste of what Eastern Canada was all about.

Within 2 weeks I found a job and a place to stay - evidently 30 seconds across the road from each other! The stars had aligned! I helped upstart a recently renovated hostel where I poured my expertise and passion into it to create good systems while also learning many hard lessons from unpredictable guests.

September 2024

Six months was enough to understand the East Coast. I was able to step back in time to when my great-grandparents were in the eastern-most city, to experience the same buildings they once actively inhabited during WW2 while also creating memories of my own in the once-popular 'red-light district' I was helping start from new foundations.
It was time to go home.

April 2025

So now I am at home on the prairies where I once roamed - Back again with a fresh set of eyes. It's been a time of peaceful reflection as I unravel and create softer, safer forms of peace and comfort as well as confidence. The wind whispers all the time. I'm happy to answer its teachings and relay them back to you.
